We eagerly opened our doors to Little Pig Cafe on 24th January 2020. We were bursting with excitement and feeling shattered too but couldn’t wait to start our dream. We had a fabulous first 8 weeks of trading, meeting all our lovely new customers who were coming back regularly for a Whole Hog or the Smashed Avocado and poached eggs on sourdough! Not leaving out the Pork Belly and lamb baguette, oozing with gravy and crunch delicious crackling …. not great for your teeth or waist line!
We thoroughly enjoyed our first evening event on Feb 14th – we shared the Little Pig love by inviting everyone to the night – sharing platters with friends and family with music from Burt Dredge who blasted our ear drums!
Our next evening event was burritos and James Dixon smashing the evening with his fabulous music. This was just days before Covid-19 closed our Little Pig Cafe. It is now July 2nd and we have been closed for longer than we have been open! Its been a tough and challenging time during lock down but we are now gearing up to re-open our cafe on Tuesday 7th July. We are very much looking forward to having our customers back, the Little Pig has felt very empty with just James, myself and Izzy.
So we now look forward to welcoming you, things will be a little different as we work out the ‘new norm’. We will have floor markings to remind you of social distancing, a one way system in the building and out. We have also fitted screens around our tills to make us all feel safe. If you have any concerns please do raise them with James or I and we will be happy to help.
We are serving a reduced menu for a while with some of your favourites and we hope to increase the menu as we move forward. We are now offering ALL DAY BREAKFAST! Yes I hear you shout!! Please try and book a table inside and tables on the deck and field are first come first serve. We also have a QR code which if you scan from our website or FB, our menu will pop up so you can pre-order and pay even before you arrive! How good is that?!
We’ve deep cleaned Little Pig and thorough cleaning routines are taking place regularly every day. Every table is cleaned thoroughly at the end of every guest visit.
We are encouraging contactless payments to avoid handling cash. The contactless limit for card payments has increased to £45. You can use Apple and Googlepay too.
We have introduced new measures to ensure that we meet Government guidelines advice on safe distancing. We ask all our guests to be respectful of this policy when they visit us. The safety and well being of our guests and team members is top priority. In order that we can meet the current guidelines the maximum number of guests per table booking is 6.
Thank you for your understanding and we very much look forward to seeing you soon!
Love James and Emma x
